Who We Are
Aligned Consulting is the operating name of Transform with Kristin LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This policy applies to alignedconsultingco.us and to inquiries submitted through it. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that entity.
We provide accounting cleanup and reconstruction, financial systems consulting, process improvement, workflow automation, custom-built business solutions, financial operations consulting, and accounting technology implementation. We are not a CPA firm.We do not provide audit, review, attestation, legal, or investment services.
Information You Provide
The only information this website asks you for is what you type into the contact form. That form collects:
- Your name
- Your company
- Your email address
- Your phone number, which is optional
- The type of help you are looking for, chosen from a list
- The description of the problem you write in the message field
Name, company, email, and message are required in order to submit the form. Everything else is optional. You decide what goes in the message field, and you do not need to send financial records, account numbers, or documents in order to start a conversation. Please do not include sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or login credentials, in a website inquiry.
Client Onboarding Information
If an inquiry becomes an engagement, we will need more than a website form can carry: accounting records, general ledger detail, bank and credit card statements, payroll summaries, system access, and similar business information. That material is requested and exchanged outside this website, and its handling is governed by the engagement letter, Statement of Work, or other written agreement for that engagement, together with any confidentiality terms in it. Where those terms and this policy differ for engagement information, the executed agreement controls.
Information Collected Automatically
We run our own analytics on this site, described in full below. It records which pages are viewed and which links are clicked, so we can tell what people are actually looking for. It does not build a profile of you, and it cannot follow you to any other website.
Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers keep standard technical logs. Those logs typically record information such as IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the page requested, the date and time of the request, and the referring page. We use hosting logs only to keep the site available, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse. We do not use them to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine them with the information you submit through the contact form.
Fonts and images are served from this site rather than from an outside content network, so reading a page sends no request to any third party. The only request a page makes beyond loading itself is the analytics call described below, and that goes to this site’s own address.
Cookies and Browser Storage
This website sets no cookies for visitors. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no session recording, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site tracking technologies of any kind.
Our analytics does need to tell one visit from another, and for that it stores two randomly generated identifiers in your browser’s own storage:
- A visitor identifier, kept in local storage, which lets us count one person visiting three times as one visitor rather than three
- A session identifier, kept in session storage, which groups the pages of a single visit together and is discarded when you close the tab
Both are random values. Neither is derived from your device, your network, or anything about you, so they are not a fingerprint. They are readable only by this website, are never sent to anyone else, and cannot identify you. Clearing your browsing data removes them, and you will simply be counted as a new visitor next time.
Two cookies exist on this domain, but only for us: signing in to our private admin dashboard sets a session cookie, and a second records that a browser is ours so our own visits are not counted in our figures. Neither is ever set for visitors.
Our hosting and security provider may set strictly operational cookies where they are necessary to deliver the site or protect it from automated abuse. Cookies of that kind are not used to profile you or to advertise to you.
Our Analytics
We use our own first-party analytics rather than Google Analytics or any comparable third-party service. It was built for this site, it runs on our own infrastructure, and the data it produces is never sold, shared, or sent to an advertising network. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising or remarketing pixel, no social media tracking script, and no data broker integration anywhere on this site.
What It Records
- Pages viewed, and roughly how long each page was open
- Links and buttons clicked, such as a call to action or an email address
- Which services attract attention
- Where a visit came from: a search engine, a social network, or a link on another site
- Campaign tags in the address, where a link we shared carries them
- Device type, browser, and operating system, each recorded only as a broad category
- Approximate country and region, from our provider’s edge network
What It Does Not Do
- It does not record your name, email, or any personal detail unless you type it into the contact form
- It does not store IP addresses in our analytics tables
- It does not build a device fingerprint
- It does not track you across other websites, because the identifiers only work on this one
- It does not record keystrokes, capture your screen, or replay your session
Turning It Off
We honor the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. If your browser sends either one, this site records nothing at all and stores nothing in your browser. Most browsers and privacy extensions can send one of these signals in their settings.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How Information Is Used
We use the information you submit to:
- Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions
- Understand the problem well enough to say whether it is work we can help with
- Prepare a proposal, scope, or engagement letter when there is a fit
- Communicate with you about an active or prospective engagement
- Keep records of our own business communications
- Meet legal, tax, or professional obligations that apply to us
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
Service Providers
We use a small number of outside providers to run this website and our correspondence. They may process your information only as needed to provide their service to us.
Form Delivery
Contact form submissions are transmitted to Web3Forms, a form-handling service that receives the submission and relays it to our inbox by email. Your submission passes through Web3Forms’ systems and is subject to their own privacy practices in addition to this policy. The form includes a hidden field used to filter automated spam submissions.
Website Hosting and Analytics Storage
The site is served by a third-party hosting provider, which maintains the standard server logs described above and provides network security protection. Our analytics data is stored in a database hosted by that same provider. It is not shared with an analytics company, because there is not one.
Messages sent to our published address are routed and stored by a third-party email provider so that we can receive and reply to them.
Additional providers may be used during an engagement, for example accounting platforms, file transfer, or document signing. Where that happens, it is described in the engagement agreement rather than here.
How Information May Be Shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
- With service providers, as described above, and only to the extent needed for them to provide their service
- With your direction or consent, such as when you ask us to coordinate with your CPA, attorney, lender, surety, or software vendor
- Where the law requires it, including in response to a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or to establish or defend legal claims
- To protect rights and safety, where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm
- In a business transfer, if the practice or its assets are acquired, merged, or reorganized, in which case information would transfer subject to this policy
Email Communications
If you contact us, we will reply by email or phone about your inquiry. Those replies are transactional, in that they respond to something you started.
We do not currently operate a marketing mailing list or newsletter from this website. If we begin sending commercial email, it will identify us clearly and include a way to unsubscribe, and we will honor unsubscribe requests. You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you, and we will.
Please keep in mind that ordinary email is not a secure channel. Do not send account credentials, government identification numbers, or sensitive financial data by unencrypted email.
Data Security
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and contact form submissions are transmitted over that encrypted connection. We limit access to inquiries to those who need it to respond, which today is a very small number of people.
We want to be straightforward about the limits of that statement. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent to us over the internet will never be intercepted or accessed without authorization. We do not claim certification under any specific security framework, and nothing in this policy is a warranty or guarantee of security.
Data Retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was given: responding to you, and keeping a record of our business correspondence. Where an inquiry does not lead to an engagement, we generally retain it only as long as needed for reference and recordkeeping, then delete it.
Engagement records are kept longer, for the period required by the applicable engagement agreement and by our legal, tax, and professional recordkeeping obligations. You may ask us to delete information we hold about you, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Analytics records are kept so we can compare one period with another over time. Because they contain no personal information and no IP addresses, they cannot be traced back to you. But if you have submitted the contact form and ask us to delete your information, we remove the analytics session linked to that submission along with it.
Third-Party Websites
This website may reference or link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party site, and this policy does not apply to them. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.
Children’s Privacy
This website and our services are directed to businesses and to adults acting on their behalf. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
You are never required to submit anything to this website. You can reach us by email instead, and you can decide how much detail to include.
Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what information about you we hold
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information we hold, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you
Send the request to the address below and describe what you would like done. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.
Privacy laws in some states and countries give residents specific, enforceable rights. Where such a law applies to us and to you, we will honor the rights it grants. We offer the requests listed above as a matter of practice, whether or not a particular law requires it of us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the website, our services, or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be reflected here, and continuing to use the website after an update means the updated policy applies to you.
