Her interest has always been in the situations where the numbers do not make sense. Processing transactions was never the appeal. Tracing how accounts interact, finding the point where the accounting broke down, reconstructing what actually happened, and returning the financials to a state someone can rely on — that is the work this practice was built for.

It is also why the automation side looks the way it does here. The approach comes from the accounting first: the accounting logic determines the system, not the other way around. Tooling built without understanding what the numbers are meant to do tends to create the next problem rather than resolve the current one.
