FAQ
The Questions Owners Ask Before They Call.
Is the first conversation free?
Yes. It’s a 30-minute call. You tell us what’s going on, we ask questions, and together we figure out whether it makes sense to go further. You don’t need to prepare anything.
What happens after the call?
If there’s work to do, the next step is an assessment. We look at the books and write up what we found and what we’d do about it. If a project comes out of that, you get a fixed price before it starts.
What if the assessment finds the books are in good shape?
It says so. The outline still records what was reviewed and anything worth tightening, and no project is proposed that the books do not need.
How long does an engagement take?
It depends on what the assessment finds. Cleanup is measured in weeks. Reconstruction takes longer because it goes back to the source documents. Bookkeeping and controller work are ongoing, month to month.
Do you need to come on site?
Most of the work happens inside the accounting system and in conversation, so it can be done remotely. In Northeast Florida, meeting in person is an option.
Do you work in QuickBooks Desktop, or only Online?
Most of the work is in QuickBooks Online, and bookkeeping can be done in the system the business already uses. When a move makes sense, Desktop-to-Online migration is part of the service.
Do I need a bookkeeper or a controller?
If transactions are not being recorded and reconciled every month, a bookkeeper. If the bookkeeping gets done but no one reviews the close or explains the statements, a controller. Many businesses at about $1 million in revenue and up need both.
How should AI be used in accounting?
Behind controls. AI tools produce a likely answer, not a verified one, so the ledger still needs rules that behave the same way every time: validation, reconciliations to outside evidence, and a person who reviews before anything posts.
